Activity--Hike on the Buraksan Trail
Buraksan park is a fantabulous system of mountain trails in Pyeongtaek City, and it just happens to be a mile from the front gate. Kevin runs on it several times a week, and for this special day we all went for a walk on it. As it turns out, all the boys are very adept trail-runners. Despite the inevitable boo-boo, everyone had a blast.
Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to the woods we go!
It was right about this point where Owen turned back and said,
"Mom, look, I'm 'Man vs. Wild!'"
Our little forest nymph. She insisted on wearing her "hiking" boots.
The top of our big hill. All along this trail there are options to either go
straight up or around a hill top. If you go to the top, you are treated to all
sorts of amenities, like comfy benches to sit on.
The first of Owen's boo-boo's. This one happened after Lorri
hollered to him to slow down. He didn't comprehend her, so he
turned around to listen (while still running) and tripped over a root. After his third fall,
he got grumpy and complained, "Why do I always fall down?"
Lorri and her brood, heading back to the van.
Lunch
Chili's. Since there would be no Mother's Day without kids, the kids got a vote. It was fairly unanimous. Lorri had her staple--Buffalo Chicken Salad. It was her third BCS of the week.
Afternoon
Nap on the couch. Zzzzzzz.
Dinner
Homemade lasagna, prepared and served with love by Kevin and all Lorri's little ones.

A fabulous day indeed. Thank you my sweet family!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful Mother's Day. Those Lipski kids are fantastic; great coaching from Dad, also!
